Chelsea star Noni Madueke vows to change his current situation at the club.

Chelsea winger Noni Madueke believes he is able to turn his situation at the club around and force Mauricio Pochettino’s hands into giving him more game time.

The 21-year-old joined the Blues in January and played 12 times in the league, but this season, he has yet to find footing. He is behind Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer in his preferred right-wing position but believes he will turn the situation around.

What Madueke said

The British-Nigerian is seemingly not to the fancy of Chelsea’s Argentine boss, Mauricio Pochettino, as he has only played in three league matches this season and a combined 46 minutes across appearances.

Madueke does not feel defeated, as he believes he has the talent to gain prominence in the Chelsea set-up, and that he has time on his side.

"I definitely back myself. It’s just a matter of time before things click,” he said, per Fabrizio Romano.

"I’ve just got to get my head down and work hard; I’ve got the ability and talent to do well, I'm sure.”

Pochettino criticises Madueke

As Pulse Sports reported, Madueke was seen partying in London a few days after the Blues home defeat to Aston Villa. Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League derby with Fulham on Monday night, Pochettino made his feelings clear about Madueke's actions.

“In my opinion, he is working hard to try and recover. He came back from the national break 10 days ago. Now he is well. He is trying to be on the same level as the team.”

“This video, we were talking about, is something you need to avoid. All of the players need to know that when you are a Chelsea player, you need to avoid these things."
