The NPFL will be treated to another Southwest Derby when Shooting Stars host Remo Stars in Ibadan on Super Sunday.

The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, is set for another exciting matchday day, the ancient city of Ibadan is expected to provide the needed fireworks.

After an average of 2.3 goals were scored last weekend, Shooting Stars and Remo Stars will go head-to-head in the standout match for matchday 26.

Last Sunday, the Sky Blues were guests to NPFL's new boys, Sporting Lagos and it didn’t end well for the more experienced and illustrious Stars.

Daniel Ogunmodede watched in utter disbelief as the Tech Boys deployed new technologies to thrash them 4-1, ending their Southwest hegemony in the NPFL which stood at 14 matches.

While Remo have since used NPFL champions Enyimba to bounce swiftly to winning ways following a 1-0 win in midweek, they remain hurt and haunted by that regional abuse from last weekend.

Time of the match

This encounter is slated for 5: 30 pm later today and will take place at the famous Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.

Shooting and Remo will look to entertain their fans in a clash that both sides need all three points to continue their push for the title and a spot in CAF’s competitions.
