Imanizabayo made headlines last season when she scored a whopping 60 goals in 26 matches for Rayon Sports.

The FUFA Women’s Super League champions Kampala Queens have signed Rwandan international striker Florence Imanizabayo.

The 25-year-old has joined the club as a free agent after a season playing for Rwandan outfit Rayon Sports.

She joins the club ahead of the CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers to be held in Uganda from August 12th-31st, where she is expected to play a big part.

“Kampala Queens is a big club in Uganda, we are playing in the CAF Women Champions League, so I am here to work hard with teammates to help the club that trusts me reach its targets,” the striker told Rwandan leading daily The New Times.

Imanizabayo made headlines last season when she scored a whopping 60 goals in 26 matches.

The 60 include 44 goals in the league and 16 in the Rwanda Peace Cup.

She joined Rayon Sports after playing nine seasons for Rwandan topflight side AS Kigali, where she won five league titles and six Peace Cups with the club.

The club has already signed Fazila Ikwaput, Samalie Nakacwa, Hadijah Nandago, Patience Nabulobi, Shakirah Nyinagahirwa and Catherine Nagadya.

Kampala Queens will open their Group A campaign on Saturday, 12th August, against Yie Joints from South Sudan.
