The Red Devils finished third in the Premier League last season, qualifying for the Champions League which ensured a wage rise for the 30-year-old.
Now, according to The Guardian, that wage boost has made it extra difficult to sell him this summer unless he accepts a significant wage reduction.
Maguire cost a hefty £80million when he arrived from Leicester City in 2019 and has two years left on the six-year deal he signed upon joining.
