While Asencio is not accused of recording the video, he is charged with revealing secrets and related offences involving child pornography.
His lawyers have denied the allegations, asserting that he was not present during the incident and had no involvement in the recording or dissemination of the video.
Despite these assertions, the legal proceedings continue, with the court rejecting an appeal by Asencio's defence team to end the investigation.
The High Court of Justice of the Canary Islands upheld the decision to proceed with the inquiry, indicating that sufficient grounds exist to continue examining Asencio's potential role in the case.
According to Diario AS, Asencio could face four years behind bars if he is found guilty.
And the alleged victim's lawyers are reportedly asking for £48,900 in compensation for her and a £16.86 fine per day for 10 months, as per Cadena Cope.
