Gerard Pique's former partner Shakira is thriving financially post breakup, with significant windfall coming her way via streaming.

Shakira's journey through heartbreak and triumph has been a rollercoaster of emotions, fueled by a very public split with former soccer star Gerard Piqué in 2022.

The Colombian superstar's narrative has taken a turn from despair to a powerful resurgence, proving that even in the midst of personal turmoil, there's room for creativity and success.

The split not only marked a new chapter in her personal life but also ignited a spark in her music career, particularly highlighted in her collaboration with Argentine producer Bizarrap. The session not only became an instant hit but continues to bring joy to the singer, showcasing her resilience and adaptability.

A Creative Resurgence

Despite the pain and anger stemming from her breakup and Piqué's alleged infidelity—themes palpably felt in her music—Shakira has channelled these emotions into her artistry.

This outpouring of emotion has not only resonated with her fans but has also proven to be financially lucrative.

According to sources close to the singer, as reported by Spanish publication AS, Shakira is reportedly earning $50,000 a week from Spotify streams alone in the United States, where over 165 million Spotify playlists feature at least one of her songs. This revelation underscores not only her widespread appeal but also the tangible rewards of her creative output.

Diversifying Success

Beyond the streaming success, Shakira's financial landscape is vast and varied. With a career spanning over three decades, her estimated net worth of around $300 million speaks volumes about her enduring influence and savvy business acumen.

Album sales and world tours have been significant contributors to her wealth, but Shakira's ventures extend far beyond music. Her role as a judge on the U.S. version of La Voz, her own perfume line, and the strategic sale of song rights to an investment firm for approximately $100 million demonstrate her multifaceted approach to income generation.
