While Mohamed Salah dominates as the ‘Instagram king of male athletes in African sports’, Oshoala has now taken her crown as queen of the females.

Pulse Sports reports that Oshoala has now surpassed Tennis women’s star, Ons Jabeur to become the no.1 most followed African female athlete on Instagram.

Oshoala gained 100,000 followers between February and June 2024.

Pulse Sports earlier reported that the 29–year-old Super Falcons star tied Jabeur who had been holding down top spot with 1.3 million followers on Meta’s platform.

However, ‘Agba Baller’’s Instagram account has enjoyed a massive growth since then, ultimately stretching her lead against the current world no.9 on the WTA rankings.
