It was a one-sided affair between the Oluyole Warriors Shooting Stars and Gombe United in the NPFL in Ibadan.

A brilliant second-half performance propelled Shooting Stars to their best result of the abridged NPFL season.

Shooting proved just too good for their visitors Gombe United following a 3-0 demolition at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Sunday.

In a show of dominance and ruthlessness, Malomo Taofeek opened the floodgates in the first half before the Warriors added two more goals in the second half to wrap up the win.

3SC revive playoff hopes

The Ibadan Warriors are back in the hunt for a place in the playoff after an emphatic victory at home on Sunday.

Two second half goals from Udoh Godwin and Douglas Archive inspired the Oluyole Warriors to a crucial win in Group A.

The home side were dominant and showed their intent early on en route to an easy and comprehensive outing in front of their home fans.

After the impressive display in the derby against Remo Stars, Gbenga Ogunbote and his boys have consolidated with another outstanding display that has renewed their Super Six hopes.

Gbenga Ogunbote and Shooting are back in the race for Super Six.

Following the win over Gombe, Shooting have moved up to fifth in Group A on 21 points, just three points behind the last spot for the Super Six currently occupied by Plateau United, who are third.
