Match Brief

The game between the Southwest rivals was as keenly contested as it was cagey, with both sides taking minimal risk.

Sunshine came closest in breaking the deadlock but were stopped on their stride by the post which saved Shooting’s blushes.

However, the Akure Gunners finally got the breakthrough at the half-hour mark via a beautifully executed counter-attacking move.

Olaniyo was on hand to finish off a good move to put the Akure side in front heading into the break.

Mees Palace are the first team to reach the last four at the LaLiga U-15s.

In the second half, it was more of the same but both sides were unable to add to the scoreline as Sunshine held on for the decisive win.

With their win, Sunshine claimed regional bragging rights while joining Plateau United as the teams to book their tickets to the last four.
