Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Shooting Stars have completed the signing of Super Eagles' high-flying defender, Olamilekan Adeleye.
The Ibadan club have suffered a torrid time in the 2023 season, and have struggled to keep clean sheets, conceding 13 goals in nine matches so far - the third highest this season.
Shooting Stars add Adeleye to defensive line
As a part of plans to secure their defence, the five-time Nigerian champions have now completed the signing of Adeleye, who makes the switch to Ibadan from Lobi Stars.
The 27-year-old centre-back has struggled for starting places in Mohammed Baba-Ganaru's side and has failed to make an appearance for the Group B leaders this season.
Adeleye in 2016, was a part of the defunct FC IfeanyiUbah team that won the National Aiteo Cup, before he left the Anambra club to join Bayelsa United.
He has also played with Sudanese giants Al-Merrick.
Shooting Stars to turn attention back to NPFL
