Enugu Rangers proved too good for Doma United in Gombe in the NPFL.

Enugu Rangers have struck Doma United where it hurts after they ended their 19-match unbeaten home run in the Nigerian Premier Football League, NPFL.

Pulse Sports Nigeria reports that the Flying Antelopes proved a hard nut to crack for the hitherto unbeaten Tigers, thanks to a priceless goal from Collins Ugwueze in Gombe on Saturday.

Rangers stun Doma United at home

The 23-year-old, valued at around N87 million, struck in the half-hour mark to hand Rangers a 1-0 victory away to Doma - their first win on the road this season for former MFM boss, Fidelis Ilechukwu’s men.

It marked the first time the Rangers have ever won at Doma while also inflicting a first-ever home defeat on the hosts in the NPFL.

Ugwueze's composed finish capped an impressive away performance as the Flying Antelopes delivered a stunning and disciplined away performance to finally overcome Doma's stubborn resistance.

The win sees Rangers climb as high as fourth in the standings after claiming their first away three points. For former table-toppers Doma, their lengthy unbeaten home run stretching back to last season is now over.

United dropped from the top four to seventh after their seventh defeat of the season in the NPFL.
