Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets will head into their opening fixture at the 2025 WAFU B U-17 Boys Tournament in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire, with confidence after all 20 players cleared the mandatory Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) age tests.
The tests, conducted in the early hours of Thursday by the CAF Medical Team, confirmed the eligibility of every member of Coach Manu Garba’s squad, ensuring Nigeria will parade a full-strength side at the regional showpiece.
All the 20 Golden Eaglets registered for WAFU B U17 tournament all passed the MRI test conducted by CAF Medical team.

The tournament officially kicks off today with the hosts, Côte d’Ivoire, taking on the Niger Republic in the opening game.

Nigeria vs Benin: Group B Showdown
The Golden Eaglets will begin their campaign next Wednesday at the Stade Lycée Scientifique, Yamoussoukro, when they clash with neighbours, the Benin Republic. They will also face Burkina Faso in Group B.
Nigeria, five-time world champions at the U-17 level, finished third at the last edition of the WAFU B U-17 competition and will be looking to improve on that performance this time around.
