Nigeria vs Morocco: Popular afrobeat artist Davido stakes ₦71 million on Super Eagles' semi-final clash

The highly anticipated clash between the Atlas Lions and the Super Eagles on Wednesday is being widely dubbed a "potential final before the final".

Both teams have delivered exceptional performances throughout the tournament, leading many to believe that the victor of this match will ultimately secure the championship trophy.

The intensity and significance of this fixture for both nations are immense as they prepare to compete fiercely at the Prince Moulay Abdallah Stadium.

Ahead of the semi-final match, Davido made a huge gamble on the outcome of the game between Nigeria and Morocco.

The musician shared a screenshot of his betslip on his official X account, where he placed a huge sum of money on the game.

On the slip, he picked two options (both teams to score and over 1.5 goals to be scored in the match).  

He then placed a bet of 50,000 dollars, which is equivalent to ₦71,126,000 in Nigerian currency and he is expecting a return of 348,274.07 dollars (₦495,426,830.06).

Currently, both teams are competing intensely for a spot in the 2025 AFCON final, and a victory for Nigeria would be a massive win for Davido.

A victory would send the Super Eagles to their second AFCON final in a row, following their appearance in the 2023 final.

Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen has dismissed suggestions that the host nation's home advantage will rattle Nigeria ahead of tonight’s AFCON semifinal against Morocco.
