“I have lost the match.I am not in a mood to be questioned too much so please, take care as a journalist,” Njoroge told the journalist.

Murang’a Seal head coach Gabriel 'Kingi' Njoroge has torn into a journalist for asking “too many questions” during the side’s 2-0 loss to Kenya Police on Sunday evening.

Seal lost their second game in a row thanks to a brace by Police’s Clinton Kinanga, and it now means the Mount Kenya-based side have lost their grip in the race for the Premier League title.

During his post match interview, he was questioned over a number of reasons as to why he thought the side have had a rather indifferent patch of form.

Although he responded to most questions in a clear and concise manner, he was clearly agitated by a question asked by one journalist on whether his charges were leaving too many spaces because his players seemed intent on driving into tackles.

“I think you are asking a lot of questions,” Njoroge castigated the journalist.

“And those questions, you have to create a situation that when you see tackles, that is kind of tactical. That is tactical football. This is high level football.

“If you look at high level football, the spaces are smaller and time in short.

“I have lost the match. I am not in a mood to be questioned too much so please, take care as a journalist.”

Meanwhile, Njoroge was quick to blame the standard of officiating for the reason they lost, claiming the penalty they conceded for the first goal was dubious and that the referee was bias to Police.

“I think that is football. I have nothing to say except the fact that we have lost but not fairly.

“Once  you award a team a penalty when it is not a penalty, you put them up. It is like the referee was motivating that team. He gave very many set plays, it is only that they did not know how to use those set plays.

“They only used the penalty to score. Our goalkeeper (did not do a good job) for the second goal. He did not move in the line and when the ball was headed across goal he was still on his line.

“We can learn from our mistakes, go back to the drawing board and see what we can do better.”

Seal sit sixth on 27 points, six behind leaders Gor Mahia.
