Salah responds to transfer rumours

Mohamed Salah shared a social media post after being linked with a mega-money move to the Saudi Pro League.

According to reports from Daily Star, on Thursday (August 24), it was revealed that the Saudi Pro League team had revived their earlier summer interest in the Liverpool star player.

Daily Satr reported that they had reached an agreement to make him the country's highest-paid player, surpassing even Cristiano Ronaldo's earnings.

Further reports suggest that they are prepared to go "all out" to sign Salah before the end of the transfer window.

The 31-year-old posted on his Instagram story, seemingly unconcerned by the idea of going to the Middle East.

He tweeted a picture of a chess game he was playing on his tablet with the pumpkin emoji over it.

Salah then shared a selfie of himself wearing a pink turtleneck sweater and a balaclava over his face.

Fans reaction to Salah’s post

Liverpool fans have reacted to Salah’s Instagram story with many not sure what to make of the posts.

One fan said, "Everyone’s losing their minds over his future and Mo has just been to see Barbie."

A second similar joke: "This Barbie is staying at Liverpool." A third quipped: "When you're rejecting Ittihad at nine and hosting a women's aerobics class at 10."

"Pink turtleneck you know this is how he’s denying the Saudi links… slayyy girl," theorised a fourth, while a fifth commented: "Very ‘cryptic message’ this. Not sure what, mind."

Salah appears to be stuck at Liverpool, which makes sense considering that the transfer market closes in only eight days.
