An infant survived the heartbreaking accident, with the baby's father describing it as "the worst day of his life", as reported by Sportal.
Police arrested a 53-year-old British man on suspicion of attempted murder and are continuing their investigation to determine the motive.
At least 27 people, including four children, were taken to the hospital Monday evening. No fatalities were reported.
Daniel Iveson, the infant's father, described the dramatic moment when the stroller carrying his young son, Teddy, was thrown 4.5 meters after a Ford Galaxy crashed into pedestrians. His partner was trapped under the vehicle and rushed to the hospital.
Iveson, from Shropshire, said it was the worst day of his life, stating, "I thought I'd lost everything." Other Liverpool fans shared their terrifying experiences, including Northern Irishman Jack Trotter, who suffered minor back injuries and was also taken to the hospital.
