Luis Diaz to travel to Munich today for medical and to finalize Bayern transfer

Bayern Munich's virtually guaranteed new signing, Luis Diaz, is expected to travel to Bavaria today, according to leading European sports journalists.

Bayern have made several attempts to sign the Liverpool star this summer but have had their bids rejected.

However, yesterday, reports emerged that the 28-year-old Colombian winger from Liverpool will join the German champions for a fee of €70 million, plus €5 million in potential add-ons.

Diaz is currently in Tokyo with Liverpool for pre-season training, but has received permission to travel to Munich, as reported by Sportal.

His arrival is expected later today. The Colombian is scheduled to undergo a medical examination tomorrow.

If all goes well, Diaz will sign a four-year contract with Bayern, earning around €14 million gross per year.

Liverpool is reportedly wasting no time and will turn their attention to Newcastle's star striker Alexander Isak. They also hope to offload Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa.

Meanwhile, Bayern continues to monitor Stuttgart's talented youngster Nick Woltemade and RB Leipzig's attacking midfielder Xavi Simons, who currently seems closer to a move to Chelsea.
