End of an era as Liverpool announces the exit of four players at the end of the season.

Liverpool have announced that the following players: Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita, James Milner, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will leave the club at the end of the season when their current contracts expire.

All four were part of amazing successes at Liverpool, including Premier League and Champions League triumphs. The club now prepares for an overhaul this summer, starting with the departure of these four.

The Merseyside giants announced via their official channels today that the earlier-named players will see their contracts at the club run out this season and will subsequently leave the club.

The club announced that there will be tributes for all four players this Saturday when Liverpool hosts Aston Villa at Anfield. That will be the last home game for the season, and there will be a send-off for the players that day.

James Milner has already agreed to join Roberto de Zerbi's Brighton. Roberto Firmino declined a renewal, but his next destination, along with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's and Naby Keita's, remains up in the air.

Meanwhile, Brentford star Ivan Toney has been banned from football activities for the next eight months as punishment for over 232 betting breaches, along with a £50,000 fine.

The 27-year-old Brentford star was charged earlier for breaking FA betting guidelines, and after admitting to several of the charges, he has now been punished and will be unable to play for Brentford or England until January 16.
