His second match for his new side saw him put in another world-class performance with entertainment superstars including Sean “Diddy” Combs and DJ Khaled watching on, but even they would have been left guessing at the reasons behind the World Cup winner’s gesture after netting his second goal of the game.
The World Cup winner sparked rumours of an alliance with the Dark Force from Star Wars when he celebrated with a choking gesture in the centre circle but his wife has debunked the theory with a better explanation.

Roccuzzo posted an Instagram story that appeared to give more context to Messi’s new goal celebration with an ode to one of Marvel’s most popular superhero characters.
The mother of Messi’s three kids, Thiago, Ciro, and Matteo, posted a picture of Messi’s iconic new celebration with a sticker that read “Thorsday” a reference to the mythical god of thunder, Thor, famed for calling his hammer, Mjolnir, with the same gesture in his appearances as a Marvel superhero.

Messi’s sons are believed to be fans of the character seen in Marvel movies such as the Thor series and Avengers series, meaning the celebration was directed at them, not at Inter Miami owner David Beckham or the Dark Lord Darth Vader from the Star Wars movies as initially believed.
