Liverpool fans were treated to appearances by two of the club's recently departed heroes during their dominant win over Newcastle

On the first day of the new year, Anfield witnessed an exhilarating Premier League match where its heroes, Liverpool, emerged victorious in a 4-2 thrashing of Newcastle United.

The match was not just a display of Liverpool's prowess but also a significant event, as it marked the visit of former Reds stars Roberto Firmino and Fabinho, who now play in the Saudi Pro League.

Despite Newcastle's best efforts, including goals from Alexander Isak and Sven Botman, Liverpool secured a win that took them three points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

Special appearance by former Reds stars
