The defender impressed enough to earn a trial at the London-based outfit following his stint for UAE Side Elite Falcons FC.

Rainbow FC defender Faiz Ouma has arrived in London to undergo trials at Premier League side Crystal Palace.

The former Kenya U17 international managed to attract the eyes of the Premier League outfit when he plied his trade with Elite Falcons FC of the United Arab Emirates this year.

Ouma had been with the club since March this year and featured in seven games for Rainbow in their FKF Division Two campaign where they emerged victorious to earn their promotion to Division One.

In 2020, Ouma was among the Junior Stars who traveled to Kigali, Rwanda for the CECAFA U17 Championships where Kenya was bundled out of the group stage following a heavy defeat to Uganda and a draw to Ethiopia.

Before leaving for UAE, Ouma featured prominently for Rainbow during the 2022 Elite Preseason Cup Tournament although they got knocked out of the tournament at the group stage.

Aside from Ouma, teammate Rooney Onyango also got a chance to travel to the UAE to ply his trade for The Falcons.

Should Ouma’s trial be successful, he will have a chance to develop his game at an academy that has produced top players like Wilfred Zaha and left back Tyriq Mitchell.

He will also get to learn under defenders like Marc Guehi and Joachim Andersen should he get the opportunity to train with the first team
