Inter CEO Guiseppe Marotta has spoken with glee about the deal that saw Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana move to Manchester United after only a year at the club.
Inter president happy with Onana transfer
Onana left Inter this summer in a deal that cost Manchester United €52.5m and could also cost them another €5m in add-ons, leaving Marotta understandably happy as the goalkeeper was signed for free from Ajax just a year prior.

He recalled signing Onana after the Cameroonian had just finished serving a suspension for a doping violation, and told reporters, “Anything can happen in football, even if those who return do not always have positive results. It was an important experience for him and for us.
“It was also a very successful deal for us to get him for free and sell him for all that money.”

Manchester United fans might not see eye to eye with Marotta on the success of Onana’s singing, however, as the Red Devils continue to leak goals since the Cameroonian’s arrival.
