Inter Milan are reportedly gearing up for life without Simone Inzaghi, and are said to have readied a four-man shortlist of possible replacements.
Following the loss to Fiorentina, which continued a trend of poor results this season for Inter, Simeone Inzaghi's future is up in the air, and Inter have reportedly made a list of four possible replacements, which includes Brighton's Roberto De Zerbi and Atletico Madrid's Diego Simeone.
Inter's abysmal league season
Although Inter are still third in Serie A, or at least temporarily, as they have played a game more than Milan, who can leapfrog them, they are a mammoth 21 points behind leaders Napoli.
The loss to Fiorentina is I Nerrazurri's 10th defeat in the league this season, the worst among the top seven teams in the league, putting them ahead of only nine teams in the league for losses thus far this season.
Although they are in the quarter-final of the Champions League, their league form leaves a lot to be desired, and the Inter hierarchy are said to be looking for solutions in the form of a new manager.
Inter lineup replacement for Inzaghi
According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Inzaghi's future is decided, and only reaching the final of the Champions League and finishing in the top four will help him continue in his role as Inter boss.
Members of the club's leadership, CEO Beppe Marotta, sporting director Piero Ausilio and assistant sporting director Dario Baccin, reportedly had lunch with Inzaghi after the defeat, where they discussed the way forward.

The club are said to be wary of sacking Inzaghi at a crucial point in the season, with games coming thick and fast, but will readily drop the axe should results remain poor.
For his replacement, they have on their shortlist Roberto De Zerbi, who knows the league after his spell with Sassuolo and for whom they would have to pay compensation to Brighton. And Diego Simeone, who, per some reports, is open to leaving Atletico Madrid at the end of the season.
Antonio Conte, who won the Scudetto with Inter two seasons ago, is also on their shortlist after he left the Tottenham job, but he could be wary of rejoining the club because of the circumstances under which he left.
The fourth name on the list is former Barcelona and PSG midfielder Thiago Motta, who is currently the manager of Bologna and has seen his progress monitored by Inter, according to reports.
