The Spaniard's win wasn't easy, however. Mid-race, a low front tyre pressure warning flashed on his dashboard.
This forced the Ducati rider to back off and tail Pedro Acosta for several laps to build up pressure.
What Marquez said
Marquez's tactic worked. In the final two laps, he was able to push the pace and overtake Acosta midway through the penultimate lap.
After the finish, the Spaniard admitted he was riding on the edge, as reported by Sportal.
"It's true, I was right on the limit," Marquez explained. "I was riding smoothly and saw the low-pressure warning. I tried to brake harder for a few laps, but felt the risk was getting too high.
"So I decided to wait and ride close behind Acosta to increase the temperature and pressure. Once the pressure was sufficient, I pushed in the last two laps."
