Despite this, reports had linked him with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia, with Al-Hilal reportedly preparing a significant financial package.
Raphinha confirmed that he had been presented with an offer from the Arab nation, admitting that he would have seriously considered it the previous summer when he was experiencing a difficult period.

Despite acknowledging the life-changing potential of the financial rewards on offer, the Brazilian indicated that he now has a strong desire to continue his career in Europe and remain at Barcelona.
"Someone sent me news of the offer from Saudi Arabia, and honestly, I was very surprised because the numbers are very, very high,” Raphinha told TNT Sports Brazil (via Sports Mole). Honestly, if I had received this offer last year, I think I would have gone.
"At that time, I was in a bit of a psychological breakdown, and this offer would solve everything in my life, my wife's life, and my family's life. It was an amount of money that would change our lives completely."
