The Wolverhampton Wanderers striker, who arrived from Genk without the benefit of a full pre-season, has spent most of the campaign coming off the bench, and according to him, that’s perfectly fine.

Arokodare’s early adaptation challenges

Arokodare revealed that his initial talks with Pereira were crucial in helping him understand the scale of the challenge ahead.

The Portuguese coach outlined the pace, physicality, and tactical demands of the Premier League, urging patience as the 25-year-old settled in.

With no full pre-season under his belt, the forward understood immediately why his minutes were being managed carefully. Rather than express frustration, he has embraced the learning curve, acknowledging that he is “still new to the league” and determined to meet the standards expected of him.

Even with limited game time, he insists that his focus remains on steady improvement and absorbing every lesson available, even if that means long spells outside the starting XI.

Arokodare says those conversations have been straightforward and constructive, reinforcing his belief that he is on the right path.

“If I have to stay out of the team and learn, I am OK with it,” he admitted, showing his commitment to the long-term project at Wolves.

With two international goals already to his name, Arokodare is also expected to be in contention for Eric Chelle’s provisional AFCON 2025 squad, another motivation as he continues to refine his game in England.
