Schmeichel, a legendary ex-United goalkeeper, is impressed with Tuchel's football expertise and believes he can bring out the best in the players.
On BeIN Sports, Schmeichel said Tuchel didn't fail during his time at Chelsea and deserves a chance to manage Manchester United.
He also thinks Tuchel, currently the Bayern Munich manager, has a strong presence and can command respect.
