Deco has given fans some exciting news about teenage star Lamine Yamal’s future at Barcelona.
In a chat with RAC1, the Barca sporting director revealed that the club is on track to lock in a new long-term contract for the 17-year-old winger, with the deal set to be finalized once Yamal turns 18 on July 13.

Ronaldinho praised Lamine Yamal and tipped him to win the Ballon d'Or.
Deco couldn’t hold back his admiration for Yamal’s remarkable maturity and grounded personality.
“Lamine is a player with an unusual maturity. I have a son the same age,” he said, clearly impressed by how the young star carries himself both on and off the field.

He also shut down rumors about Yamal’s demands, saying, “He didn’t ask to be the highest-paid player on the team — that’s not true. He just wants to be happy here.
“It’s not about whether he’s 17 or 26. Football has to be fair, and he has to have a contract that suits him; the most important thing is that he’s happy. And there’s no better club for him than Barça.”
Meanwhile, Barcelona are interested in strenghtening this summer, and have been linked with the likes of Manchester United's Marcus Rashford, and Liverpool's Luis Diaz.
