Rafaela Pimenta, agent of Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, has insisted that his agent deserved to win the 2023 Ballon d’Or, which he lost out to Argentine legend Lionel Messi.

Haaland and Norway were not at the World Cup, so the Manchester City forward was unable to impress on the biggest world stage, but his agent, Pimenta, believes that the CItyzens striker should still have picked up the Ballon d’Or instead of Messi.

Speaking to CorSports, Garcia emphasised his view that Haaland should have won the Ballon d’Or, saying, “He deserved to win the Ballon d’Or, I hope he’s gonna win it one day.”
Pimenta also noted that despite being the deserved winner of the 2023 Ballon d’Or, Haaland would not be obsessed with the accolade but was focused on helping Manchester City replicate the success of 2022, saying, “I’m sure he prefers Champions League title with his team.”

This season, Haaland has contributed 17 goals in 18 starts for the Cityzens, while also providing four assists for his teammates.
