Pep Guardiola has discussed his long-term future at Manchester City and admitted he will consider many things before signing a new contract.

Pep Guardiola's current contract with Manchester City runs until the end of the 2024-25 season, and the club's management are eager for him to extend his stay.

With Jurgen Klopp announcing his departure from Liverpool, there is a heightened desire at Etihad to retain Guardiola.

However, the City boss emphasizes the importance of assessing his relationship with players before deciding on his future.

While Guardiola has not confirmed signing a new deal, there is anticipation and hope among the Etihad faithful that he will continue to lead the team beyond his current contract.

"We have to see how players’ behaviour is, whether we are keeping our standards," Guardiola told reporters, via the Mirror

"Next year will be nine seasons, which is a lot of time. Extending after two years is not the same as extending after nine. We have a lot of time [to decide]. But now I feel really good."

"Normally when I decide to extend my contract, the decision is quick. I trust my feelings and instinct and my family is involved."
