Mr Psquare and Mikel Obi assure Chelsea fans they're still working to bring Victor Osimhen to Stamford Bridge after his record-breaking season at Galatasaray, keeping hopes high for a summer transfer.

Nigerian pop star Peter Okoye (Psquare) has assured Chelsea fans that he and Super Eagles legend John Obi Mikel are still working behind the scenes to bring Victor Osimhen to Stamford Bridge, following the striker’s historic season at Galatasaray.

Osimhen, 26, has been heavily linked with Chelsea for over a year before he left Napoli for Galatasaray.

The Blues nearly signed him in 2024, but a deal with Napoli fell through, leading to his season-long loan at Galatasaray instead.

Chelsea remain determined to sign a new centre forward this summer, and Osimhen is a primary target as the club looks to add a proven goalscorer ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Peter revealed,

“Dear @ChelseaFC fans, last summer, both @mikel_john_obi and I made every effort to secure the signing of @victorosimhen9 for Chelsea, including engaging in a three-way call right up until the transfer deadline. I want to reassure all of you that we remain steadfast in our pursuit and will continue our efforts this summer. Fingers crossed.”

The Nigerian striker has made a huge impact in Turkey, scoring 26 goals and providing five assists in 29 appearances for Galatasaray so far this season.

His performances have shattered club records, earned him the Süper Lig Golden Boot, and played a decisive role in Galatasaray’s league and cup wins.

Osimhen’s form has only intensified Chelsea’s interest, with the player himself reportedly favouring a move to Stamford Bridge over other suitors like Manchester United.

With the summer transfer window approaching and both Psquare and Mikel Obi actively involved, Chelsea fans have every reason to keep their hopes high that Osimhen could finally make the switch to West London after his record-breaking season in Turkey.
