Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has revealed that it would be a big disappointment not to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
Howe insists his side won't be relying on other teams as they head into a fierce battle for Champions League qualification.
The Magpies lost 1-0 to Arsenal last weekend at the Emirates, with the loss pushing their chances of securing a Champions League ticket to the last game of the season.
The Magpies are currently fourth, level on points with Chelsea and Aston Villa, and one point ahead of Nottingham Forest. Newcastle must beat Everton at St. James' Park in the final match to guarantee a top-five finish.

What Howe said
Speaking ahead of their final game of the season on the club's official website, Newcastle manager Howe spoke about his team's UCL chances.

"Isak is doing well. He hasn't trained with us yet, but he's made good progress this week. The next two days will be crucial in determining whether he'll be available on Sunday.

"There's a chance, but it's difficult to say more than that. Joelinton won't be back for this game. We anticipate he'll be fine for the start of pre-season training. Trippier's situation is much the same as Isak's - he's not training with us yet, but there's a chance.
"Success isn't a given. Everton are a tough team to beat, and they don't concede many goals. They also pose a threat going forward. We have to be focused on what we need to do to win the game.
"I don't think we can look for favours from anyone. We need to do our job. We know what we have to do. If we miss out on Champions League qualification, it will be tough to take. It will be hugely disappointing because we've been fighting for it for two-thirds of the season."
