The Portuguese League hailed Ronaldo as an “unavoidable figure in the sport and idol to millions,” presenting him with the GOAT award to celebrate his unmatched legacy.

Although currently playing for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, the Real Madrid and Portugal icon accepted the honour via video message, thanking those who have shaped his journey.

“I’m grateful to all my teammates who have helped me throughout my career win this wonderful trophy. I also want to thank all the coaches and everyone who has helped me on this journey to become better and better,” Ronaldo said.
