Cole Palmer: Chelsea goal-machine delighted with new contract, ready to fire Blues to title
Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has signed a two-year contract extension, tying him to the club until 2033.
The 22-year-old's new deal comes with a significant salary increase, rewarding his impressive form in his first season at Stamford Bridge.
Palmer delighted with new Chelsea deal
"I'm delighted to sign this new deal," Palmer said.
"I achieved a lot in my first season here and hopefully I can continue to experience great things at this club, both on a personal level and in terms of bringing success and trophies to Chelsea."
Palmer's new wage is reportedly around £120,000 per week, comparable to midfield partners Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo.
This increase comes from Chelsea's contract policy, which focuses on lower base wages with significant performance-based incentives.
The average senior squad wage at Chelsea is now £60,000-a-week, a significant decrease from the £200,000-a-week under Roman Abramovich's ownership.
The Blues begin their league campaign against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge and Palmer will be relied on to provide the firepower to push Enzo Maresca's men back to the top.
