Ex-Bayern Munich president and player Uli Hoeness has claimed that the club will sign Harry Kane this summer for one reason
Former Bayern Munich player and President Uli Hoeness has claimed that Tottenham are fighting a losing battle to keep captain Harry Kane at the club, noting that the striker will be keen to make a move this summer.
Bayern Munich confident of Kane signing
Hoeness who played for Bayern Munich for nine years and was President of the club for 10 years between 2009 and 2019 has kept close quarters with the club and has provided inside information on the Bavarian’s pursuit of Kane.

Speaking to SPORT Hoeness said, “Harry Kane has very clearly signalled that his decision was made”. If he keeps his word, we will sign him. Tottenham will have to give up, we’ve to get an asking price from [Tottenham owner Daniel] Levy.
“Rummenigge speaks to him regularly."
Hoeness declares Kane keen on Bayern Munich
The former Bayern Munich administraor also noted that Kane would be motivated to make a summer move to Bayern Munich this season as it would afford him an opportunity to play in the UEFA Champions League following Spurs’ failure to qualify for next season’s competition.
He added, “Harry Kane now wants to play in European competitions. Tottenham won't be there next season, we will be there”.
“He has another chance to join a top European club.”
The former Bayern Munich forward also noted that negotiations between Kane and the club have been smooth and respectful and a key factor in the club’s interest.
“What we really liked about Harry Kane is his agents, his father, brother… they’re very pleasant people, ” Hoeness said, concluding, “So far Kane’s camp always stood by their promise. If that stays the case, then it's okay.”
Bayern Munich are closing in on a €90 million deal to sign Kane, with Tottenham reportedly resigned to losing the forward.
