Victor Osimhen's potential move to Al Hilal is gaining steam after the Saudi club made an opening bid for the Nigerian superstar
Saudi giants Al Hilal have taken a major step towards the signing of Victor Osimhen after making an opening bid to Napoli worth €70 million.
According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, the Saudi Pro League club tabled a bid worth €65 million plus €5 million in add-ons to tempt Napoli into selling.
Al Hilal going all out for Osimhen
After initial reports that Al Hilal had offered Osimhen a mouth-watering €40 million per season, or ₦1 billion per week wage package, the Saudi side have taken their pursuit of Osimhen to the next level.
In a post on X, Romano announced that Al Hilal had made their opening offer to Napoli for Osimhen's signature, and pointed out that the next move depends on the decision of the Italian club.
Osimhen's current release clause in Naples is reportedly worth €75 million, just shy of the €70 million total package offered by Al Hilal, giving Napoli a decision to make.

Determined to sell Osimhen, the Partenopei will want to avoid a repeat of last summer's shenanigans, where a slight difference in valuation foiled moves for Osimhen to Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, and Al Ahli.
Osimhen left with big decision to make
After scoring 37 goals in 41 matches while on loan with Galatasaray and breaking records with the Turkish giants, Osimhen was once again linked with a myriad of moves ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Super Eagles star has appeared in reports alongside clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Juventus, and also Galatasaray, with whom he has spent the past few months.
However, financial constraints have all but ruled out the English sides, while Juventus' change in upper management has also altered their transfer focus, leaving Galatasaray as the only real alternative for Osimhen.

With Galatasaray reportedly offering a wage that is close to half of Al Hilal's proposal, the Super Eagles star will have a huge decision to make, especially if the Saudi giants have their bid accepted by Napoli before Galatasaray make concrete efforts.
