Cunha, who has scored 15 goals in 29 Premier League appearances this season, has been linked with a move to Old Trafford amid interest from Chelsea and Arsenal.

What Scholes said

Scholes expressed concerns about Cunha's potential fit at Manchester United under manager Ruben Amorim.

"He looks like he’s got the attributes that Ruben Amorim wants. I just worry for any signing coming to Manchester United at the minute. It just feels like it’s such a bad place to go," Scholes wrote in his TNT Sports column.

He continued, "With Cunha, is he a centre-forward or is he a wide player? There’s no doubt that he has quality and of course, it would be nice to sign him, but I worry about where he fits in."

Cunha's release clause of £62.5 million has sparked interest from top clubs, but Scholes believes that Manchester United's current state might not be ideal for the striker.

"You can sign the best three players in the world, and I think they’ll struggle coming into this team at the minute, but they’ve got to start somewhere," Scholes added.

Ironically, Wolves have outperformed Manchester United recently, with five consecutive wins compared to United's five-game winless streak.

Cunha has recorded 15 goals in 29 Premier League appearances this season.
