Chelsea are set to seal a deal for an 18-year-old Nigerian youngster described as the next Victor Boniface after a successful trial.

At just 18 years old, Nigerian footballer Ibrahim Hafiz Umar dubbed next Victor Boniface is already making waves in the world of European football after closing in on a move to Chelsea.

This young phenom has just completed a highly successful trial with none other than Chelsea Football Club, and the Blues are now in hot pursuit of his signature.

Hafiz, who hails from the Ojodu City Academy, has been turning heads with his incredible goal-scoring prowess.

This incredible feat caught the attention of Chelsea star Raheem Sterling, who personally reached out to Hafiz via video call back in February.

Sterling's endorsement only further fueled the Premier League club's interest in the Nigerian prodigy, and they wasted no time in inviting him for a two-week trial as reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria.

And what a trial it was! Hafiz impressed the Chelsea scouts to such a degree that he reportedly scored a hat-trick in his final trial match, in front of club owner Todd Boehly himself.

The club was so enamoured with the young striker's talent that they've decided to make his stay at Stamford Bridge a permanent one per Fabrizio Romano.

Now, the only thing standing in the way of Hafiz's dream move to Chelsea is the final negotiation of the transfer figures.
