Odion Ighalo continued his impressive scoring form helping Al-Hilal seal a cup quarter-final win against Al-Fateh.

Odion Ighalo continued his impressive form in front of goal as Al-Hilal picked up a comfortable 3-1 victory against Al-Fateh in the Saudi Kings Cup.

Ighalo scored the third goal of the game, as Al-Hilal knocked out Al-Namothaji in the single-leg quarter-final clash.

How it happened

Al-Hilal were handed a penalty in the 17th minute of the game, and Mohammed Kano stepped up to take it. The midfielder finished cleanly, winning the battle of nerves against Jacob Rinne.

Fateh pulled level in the 27th minute of the game when Mourad Batna set up Firas Al-Buraikan.

Al Hilal reclaimed their lead at the start of the second-half thanks to brilliant playmaking by Odion Ighalo, squaring the ball to Michael, who tapped in from close range.

Ighalo got a goal of his own in the 84th minute of the game to seal the win. He combined expertly with Mohammed Al-Burayk before firing emphatically into the goal to put a seal on Al-Hilal's victory.

Fateh pushed and had a late flurry to try to equalise, but the scoreline remained the same, and Al-Hilal advanced to the semi-final.
