Manchester United dominate monthly awards as Ten Hag joins Rashford to claim February prize
In a testament to Manchester United’s brilliant month, manager Erik Ten Hag has joined Marcus Rashford in claiming a February award after being named Manager of the Month by the Premier League for the second time this season.
Ten Hag wins second Manager of the Month award
Manchester United won three of their four Premier League matches in February, only dropping points in their 2-2 draw at home to Leeds.
The Red Devils won more points in that period than any other Premier League team except Manchester City, who also amassed 10 points but did so in more games and, unlike Manchester United, lost a game in February.
Ten Hag’s February award is his second of the season after he also claimed the Manager of the Month prize in September.
Ten Hag’s Manchester United revolution
Ten Hag has turned Manchester United’s fortunes around since arriving at the club and has overseen a major refurbishment of what was a dying team.
He has overseen a period of upward trajectory both results-wise and in terms of player growth this season, with Manchester United still in contention for the Premier League title, albeit with a minimal chance of success.
He has also helped the club to their first trophy since 2017 and is in contention for more as they are still in the Europa League and FA Cup.
The biggest testament to Ten Hag’s impact is the improvement in individual quality of the side, with a perfect example being Marcus Rashford, who scored five goals the whole of last season, but has already beaten his personal best for goals this season with games to spare.
