Egypt and Nigeria's game is scheduled to kick off by 6 pm (Nigerian time).

Ahead of Nigeria's second group fixture against hosts Egypt, Flying Eagles head coach Ladan Bosso has said that his side is ready, and are willing to go out for all three points despite Egypt's advantage.

Wednesday's tie at the Cairo International Stadium will host two sides who failed to win their opening matches on Sunday.

While the Pharaohs were held to a barren draw by Mozambique, Nigeria's Eagles failed to fly in a 1-0 defeat to Senegal courtesy of Sulaymane Faye’s lone goal.

Flying Eagles unfazed by Egypt's home support

Despite a multitude of home support that Egypt are set to receive on Wednesday, Bosso revealed that he was confident of his side silencing the home fans.

"We prepared very well to face the Egyptian national team,” Bosso said at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday.

“As coaches, we know how to deal with the loss and overcome it, and we are ready for the Egypt match."

"The fans are important, but the fans do not win the matches. We saw during the World Cup Qatar were playing at home, but they were unable to advance to the next round.

Ladan Bosso's Flying Eagles will hope that they qualify for the World Cup by putting up a good performance in Egypt

"We lost to Senegal, although we were the best. But they were able to take advantage of the opportunities and succeeded in resolving the match in their favour,” he added.

Egypt vs Nigeria to kick off 6 pm on Wednesday

The defeat on Sunday means that the seven-time champions currently sit at the base of Group A, after the first round of matches.

Senegal, lead the group having earned three points in their game against the Flying Eagles, in contrast to Egypt and Mozambique who shared their points.

The other match in Group A on Wednesday will see Senegal take on Mozambique. Meanwhile, Egypt and Nigeria's game is scheduled to kick off by 6 pm (Nigerian time).
