Niger State Cricket takes Cricket gospel to Police Children’s School

NCF continued with her national grassroots development.

The Niger State Cricket Association has taken the gospel of cricket to the Police Children's School (PCS) in Minna, Niger State.

Isaiah Fred, the chairman of the Niger State Cricket Association, gave the pupils at the school cricket equipment and explained the sport to them.

He said that the grassroots development program for the Naija Kid will be implemented in schools all around the state by the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) and the Niger State Cricket Association.

The objective is to foster a love of cricket among young people. According to Fred, the NCF gave the cricket kits to improve the schoolchildren's instruction and get them ready for state-wide cricket championships.

The Headmistress, Hajiya Aisha Legbo, received thanks from the Chairman and his team for her cooperation throughout the event. The program will run from July 3 through July 10 of 2023.

Legbo expressed her appreciation to the NCF and Niger State Cricket Association for their support in promoting sports.

She gave them the reassurance that the school is completely ready to play cricket and progress sports in the region.

She also exhorted the school's sports instructors to make good use of the donated equipment.

Highlights of the ceremony included senior players demonstrating the sport and giving the school's headmistress cricket uniforms, which was followed by a group photo to mark the occasion.
