Speaking to Pulse Sports, NBA star Jamal Murray has his sights set on winning a championship.

Jamal Murray, a professional basketball player from Canada, doesn't care that he didn't take home the Magic Johnson Western Conference Finals MVP award.

Serbian center Nikola Jokic received the honor after the Denver Nuggets defeated the LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers 4-0.

The "Joker" became the first player to average 25+ points, 10+ assists, and 10+ rebounds per game in the Conference Finals.

As the only player to average 30+ points on 50/40/90 shooting splits in the Conference Finals, Murray had an equally strong case for MVP.

Despite Jokic's outstanding performance throughout the series, some may contend that Jamal Murray is just as deserving of the MVP honor.

Murray was questioned by Pulse Sports about shifting his focus to capturing the NBA Finals MVP award after his star teammate won the WCF MVP award.

He said, “We’re just trying to win a championship.

“All that comes after you win a championship. If we were to lose, no one gets that trophy, right? We win the championship, and everybody eats. I’m just excited to see everybody succeed.

Murray and the Denver Nuggets now patiently wait for their opponents as the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat battle to be crowned champions in the Eastern Conference.
