The quarterfinals of the 2025 BAL Playoffs are set after APR and US Monastir secured big wins.
The BAL Playoffs' second day in Pretoria started with a match between defending champions Petro de Luanda of Angola and APR of Rwanda who emerged victorious with a score of 75-57.

BAL: Kriol Star and Al Ittihad start playoffs with victory
In Pretoria, the BAL playoffs started with victories for Kriol Star and Al Ittihad.
Aliou Diarra from APR was the top scorer with 19 points and also recorded 14 rebounds while Nuni Omot contributed 15 points and grabbed six rebounds.
Patrick Gardner of Petro de Luanda led the team with 13 points and secured 11 rebounds.
In the second seeding game of the evening, US Monastir of Tunisia, the 2022 BAL champions, went up against last year's semifinalists, Rivers Hoopers of Nigeria.
US Monastir claimed victory, driven by a standout performance from Babacar Sane, a former student athlete at the NBA Academy Africa, who netted 22 points.

Patrick Hardy Jr. made contributions of 17 points and 9 assists. Although they lost the match, Raphael Putney of Rivers Hoopers scored a game-high 28 points.
The games today established two remaining quarterfinals for Monday: APR versus Rivers Hoopers and US Monastir against Petro de Luanda.
Tomorrow’s matches include two win-or-go-home quarterfinals: Al Ahli Tripoli of Libya vs. Kriol Star of Cape Verde followed by Al Ittihad of Egypt vs. FUS Rabat of Morocco.
