It was a rebounding masterclass from Femi Adebayo as the Miami Heat beat the Chicago Bulls.

The Miami Heat recorded a 102-91 victory against the Chicago Bulls in an Eastern Conference Play-in match that took place in the early hours of Saturday, April 15, 2023.

The Miami Heat needed to bounce back after a shock loss in the first game against the Trae Young-led Atlanta Hawks.

The Chicago Bulls on the other hand were riding high on a shock win away in Canada against the Toronto Raptors.

The Miami Heat playing at home put up 29 points to establish an eight-point lead at the end of the first quarter.

Bulls guard DeMar DeRozan was in Rhythm as they put up 23 points in the second quarter reducing the deficit to just five going to the halftime break.

The third quarter was back and forth as the Bulls were able to erase the Heat advantage and establish a one-point lead.

The Heat in the fourth quarter were spectacular as Jimmy Butler and Max Strus made massive shots down the stretch.

They played solid defense and put up 35 points to record an 11-point victory to advance to the playoffs.

Femi Adebayo comes up big for Miami Heat against Chicago Bulls

American professional basketball player of Nigerian descent Femi 'Bam' Adebayo came up big for the Heat in the victory against the Bulls. 

Adebayo in 38 minutes of action put up eight points, 17 rebounds, one steal, four assists, and one block.

He struggled from the field making just one of his nine shots but was six of eight from the free throw line. 

Adebayo had to win the rebounding battle against Bulls big men Nikola Vucevic and Andre Drummond most being second-chance opportunities for the Heat. 

Although he did not produce well on the offensive end, Adebayo had help from Butler who contributed 31 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals in 43 minutes of action. 

German laser Strus also put up 31 points, six rebounds, and one steal making eight of 16 shots, was seven of 12 from three-point range, and a perfect eight from the free throw line in 36 minutes of action.

Miami Heat to face Milwaukee Bucks

The Miami Heat after victory against the Chicago Bulls booked their place in the first round of the 2022/23 Eastern Conference playoffs.

The Heat clinched the eighth seed and will now take on the Eastern Conference top seed Milwaukee Bucks led by Greek player of Nigerian descent Giannis Antetokounmpo.
