The NBA has unveiled the participants for the Skills Challenge, Three-Point Contest, and Slam Dunk Contest during All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The NBA revealed the participants on the national broadcast and social media platforms in the early hours of Wednesday, February 15, 2023.
The NBA All-Star weekend begins with the Celebrity Game and the Rising Stars game on Friday, February 17, 2023. The rosters and format for both games have already been released.
NBA All-Star weekend events
The three main events for Saturday, are the Skills Challenge, Three-Point Contest with the Slam Dunk.
All three events will be held at the Vivint Arena home of the Utah Jazz on Saturday, February 18, 2023.
Skills Challenge
The Skills Challenge will be the first contest of All-Star Saturday night and feature a three-round competition with three teams of three players.
It involves a team relay with five stations to complete on the court in the first round /
A team passing exercise with various targets on the court in the second round and shooting drills from five different spots in the final round.
The 3 teams set to compete in the Skills Challenge
Antetokounmpos: Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Thanasis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks) and Alex Antetokounmpo (Wisconsin Herd, G League).
Jazz: Jordan Clarkson, Walker Kessler, and Collin Sexton.
Rooks: Paolo Banchero (Orlando Magic), Jaden Ivey (Detroit Pistons), and Jabari Smith Jr. (Houston Rockets).
3-Point Contest
The three-point contestants will engage in two rounds of shooting the ball from racks from different positions on the court.
