Preview of the men's 100m event at the Xiamen Diamond League on April 26.

World leader Akani Simbine will lead a star-studded 100m field that includes Christian Coleman and Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo scheduled to compete in the first leg of the 2025 Diamond League meetings in Xiamen on Saturday, April 26.

The legendary South African sprinter clocked a blistering world-leading time of 9.90s in his season opener at the Botswana Grand Prix two weeks ago. He will aim to build on his performance against the stacked field in Xiamen.

Top on the list of his challengers will be Olympic 200m champion Tebogo, who will gun to take another famous win to build his confidence for the rest of the season.

Another tough challenger is former world champion Coleman, charging to bounce back to winning ways after his disappointing loss last weekend at the Tom Jones Invitational.

The American sprint star will aim to build back his confidence by proving a point he isn't finished and is still a veteran in the event that can't be written off ahead of the World Championships in Tokyo this summer.

Other top contenders that can cause massive upsets are European and World Indoor Champion Jeremiah Azu and Australia's speed sensation Kennedy Lachlan with a Season's Best of 10.00s.
