Olympic 100m silver medallist Sha'Carri Richardson is confirmed to compete in two events at the US Championships in preparation ahead of her world title defense.
Sprint queen Sha'Carri Richardson has made a statement confirmation ahead of the US Championships, where she'll be gunning to qualify in two events for Tokyo.
The famous runner has declared to run the 100m and 200m at the US Championships, in which fellow track stars Gabby Thomas and Melissa Jefferson-Wooden will also be running the same events, thus making it more competitive.
Richardson, despite having a bye to Tokyo as the reigning world 100m champion, may have opted to run the event to fine-tune her preparations and gain more races under her belt before the World Championships in September.

Sha'Carri Richardson's all-time 4x100m dream squad is a surprising one of an ex-teammate and two track icons.
She has only raced twice this season at the Seiko Grand Prix in April (clocked 11.47s to finish fourth) and the Prefontaine Classic Diamond League (ran 11.19s for ninth) - results due to her just recovering from an injury that affected her training and preparations for the year.
With her last performance at the Prefontaine Classic resulting in a faster time, Richardson will be aiming to lower this with a sub-11s running at the US Championships, which will boost her confidence ahead of a possible world title in Tokyo.

Most beautiful Nigerian athlete Blessing Okagbare showed off the beauty of motherhood in a stunning photo of her second trimester glow.
Also by registering in the 200m, Richardson will hope to upset the American big guns in the event this season, with names such as McKenzie Long, Anavia Battle, and Olympic bronze medallist Brittany Brown, all in fighting for the Top 3 qualifying spots on the US team.
