Reynaldo Walcott - coach of the world's fastest woman alive Elaine Thompson-Herah has revealed the desire the Jamaican track star shows in training every day ahead of the Paris Olympics.

Coach Walcott, who started training the speedster in November 2023 after parting ways with coach Shanikie Osbourne, is full of praise for the athlete's desire to want a continual glorious athletics career.

In an exclusive interview with Citius Mag, the young Jamaican coach revealed what it means to train the five-time Olympic champion and her focus ahead of defending her Olympic titles in Paris.

"I always say that persons who have achieved a lot tend to be very focused," said coach Walcott on Thompson-Herah's progression in training.

"It's way easier to work with mature athletes than younger athletes sometimes and most times because of their culture for me. They understand what it means to be successful, and understand what to do to become successful," he added.

"So what I get on a day-to-day basis is an Elaine who is hungry, an Elaine who is willing to do whatever I ask of her."

After an outstanding end to the 2023 season followed by the saga with her former coach, Thompson-Herah will be hoping her fresh start with coach Walcott can make her dreams of defending her Olympic titles come true, which will see her become the first female athlete in history to do a three-peat of sprints gold medals at the Olympics.
