LSU's duo of Godson Brume and Favour Ofili produced impressive performances in their final home meet, ahead of the SEC Indoor Championships next weekend.

In their final home meet before the South-Eastern Conference (SEC) indoor championships next week, Godson Brume and Favour Ofili prove they're in the best shape ahead of the championship.

Brume once again blazed to a 60m Personal Best (PB) of 6.58s to win the 60m final at the Louisiana State University (LSU) Twilight meet, which erased his previous best of 6.59s last weekend.

By doing this, his mark strengthened his position as the third fastest in LSU history, and he became the twelfth Nigerian sprinter to break the 6.60s time in the event.

Meanwhile, Favour Ofili also raced to an impressive time of 7.18s to win the women's 60m final ahead of teammate Brianna Lyston with 7.30s, which was after running 7.27s in the qualifying heat.

Ofili will be gunning to win double titles in the 60m and 200m at the SEC Championship, as she is already favourite for the 200m title having ran an iconic PB of 22.36s last weekend, which is the third fastest time in NCAA history.

Brume, Ofili, and freshman Ella Onojuvwevwo are the three athletes shinning the Nigerian light at LSU, so will be aiming to do their school proud.
